Festival of TRANSformations

On the occasion of the publication of the pioneering transfeminist work Testo Junkie (Maska, TRANSformacije series, 2026) by Paul B. Preciado, which, through the genre of autotheory, addresses the plasticity and performativity involved in hacking social and biological sex, we are organising the Festival of TRANSformations.

Alongside the presentation of Testo Junkie, three works from the Slovenian performing arts scene will be presented, each engaging in its own way with themes from the book, and all addressing questions of trans identity:

Sonny by Nataša Živković

In addition to more in-depth editorial presentations of Testo Junkie, and in anticipation of a possible visit by the author in the autumn, we will also present the booklet featuring the short story Komunin mrk by Lea Aymard, developed as part of a workshop led by Jedrt Maležič. The presentation will take the form of a dialogue with Lea Sande, author of the accompanying text. The festival will conclude with a discussion led by Linn Julian Koletnik with all the performance authors.
