Feminist Book Club with The Sisterhood of the Proud Dolphin is part of the  TESTING GROUND: Reparative Practices for New Cultural Ecosystem project.

The Sisterhood of the Proud Dolphin is a self-organised reading group that has been running for the ninth consecutive year, approximately once a month. Its meeting point is the Škratova čitalnica, Trg prekomorskih brigad 1, Ljubljana.

This year, the Sisterhood of the Proud Dolphin will be joined by Maska Ljubljana, which has proposed the topic of pleasure in feminism as a reparative practice in the framework of the European project TestG. The monthly meetings for reading and discussion on the topic of pleasure through different feminist perspectives will be socially inclusive, welcoming to all those interested in the topic, and will encourage discussion based on their own experiences. The reading group will also touch upon the artistic research of artist Tjaša Črnigoj, who is creating a series of lecture-performances on sex education at Maska. The theoretical and methodological contributions of the reading group will also enrich Maska’s translation of Catherine Malabou’s book Le plaisir effacé: Clitoris et pensée, which will be produced in parallel with the reading group meetings.
