As You Can See It It’s Not About That

Project by Matej Kejžar
Premiere: 15. 04. 2001, Plesni teater Ljubljana

Black holes. Are they empty or full? Regardless scientific speculations we leave the answer to you. Use your imagination. Measure as if measuring verses, narrate fairy tales, calculate or look as if looking into void. Perhaps you will entrap yourselves in them and fall into the magic of kaleidoscope, and perhaps not.

Perhaps you will meet Miss Dalloway; young Einstein; Godot waiting for those who normally wait for him; you might see ‘clean’ Hendrix without guitar, in a rave suit; marathoner Joyce might pass running by; … perhaps you will ‘only’ sweat of dancers and see their heartbeat.

If Stephen Hawkin saw lots of things in black holes, enough to fill a book, why won’t you follow his gaze? It’s true that he doesn’t dance, but could you sit throughout the shortness of life and see things as an unmoving person does? Must we move to see? Perhaps yes, perhaps no. Anyway: as – if – you will see, this is not the topic of the show …
